I'm in Boston!
Yesterday afternoon Carol drove me out to Burlington and we said our goodbyes as I boarded a bus from Burlington to Boston. The ride over wasn't too bad.. especially since the bus had free wifi! Although they blocked a few sites like youtube, presumably because they don't want people downloading too much content.
So I arrived in Boston about 8:30 and met Peggy outside of the bus station. After supper and catching up with Paul and Peg I headed off to bed (stealing Anna's room while she's out at college). I woke up this morning and as Peggy had the day off, we started planning things to do while I'm here in Boston. We have a few tentative plans, but I won't ruin the surprises for the readers at home, although I will let you know that I'm headed into the city tomorrow!
So this afternoon we decided to go for a short bike ride so that I could get a little more oriented with the town. Paul and Peg live in Winchester, which is just a ten minute train ride into the city. The downtown area is rather small and quaint, but has a few little shops with all the essentials. You definitely get that quintessential colonial New England feel from all of the buildings in the downtown area. It's also not a far walk and an easy bike ride to get downtown and the train station is only a couple of blocks away from the house, so I'm definitely looking forward to the accessibility to everything here. It should be fun! :)
Oh! and I have cell phone signal again! WOOHOOO!
Pics! Winchester, why does that always make me think of the doc from MASH 4077? It should be great to have that much access, you can get to a great many things, for sure. Since you're not cluing me in either, i guess i'll have to follow along LYLDO
