I took the train into Grand Central Station (the train is really nice, but it takes an hour to ride in.. I'll choose to look at the bright side: lots of reading time!).
I walked down 5th avenue for a bit, window shopping, before just kind of randomly walking around. I'll tell you what, there are lots of shops in NYC.
Walking around in New York is tougher than Boston I think, because its so much bigger. Boston was nice because you could walk to anything you wanted. New York is huge, so its more spread out.. but there are endless things to see and do.
So I explored around the Grand Central Station area for a while, before jumping on the train back home. Ruth was at the station to pick me up, and we went off to dinner and a movie with a couple of her friends. They were very nice and easy to get along with, we're going to dinner with them Saturday night as well. The movie we went to see was a documentary on dance. It was very well shot, and interesting. It was about the history behind Jacob's Pillow, a dance festival in rural Massachusetts. If you have the opportunity to see the movie, I'd recommend it. Its amazing what some people can do with their bodies.
