Well, we've had some rainy weather here in New York.
Yesterday morning was dreary, but I got out in the afternoon and walked around the city a bit when the rain was stopped, and spent some time in the New York Public Library when it started up again. Its amazing the amount of things to do in NYC. I go to the same part of the city every time (near Grand Central Station) but feel like there is still so much in the area that I haven't seen.
Today was just as dreary, so I decided to stay home and relax. Ruth had a class this morning, and was off to teach a class this afternoon, so I went with her. It was a blast. This particular class is at a nunnery, where retired nuns come and do art projects with Ruth. Right now they are working on a big mosaic together. The nuns were very nice and fun to talk to, and the mosaic was fun to work on as well. I helped cut the glass and was just generally another pair of helping hands, but it was fun, and probably best to get out of the house.. but I wouldn't have on my own due to the rain. Stupid rain.
Stupid Rain....at your age I was working construction, and for the years before that I was *ahem* helping out on the farm, and I learned to love rainy days.
ReplyDeleteSo fun following along, but wish I was on this journey with you (even tho I know it's yours) Dad
