Today, I clicked on the 'Blogger' tab in my bookmarks and when it came to my home page, I was signed out. You know when you click that box when you sign in to an account on your email or whatnot and it keeps you signed in for fifteen days after the last time you logged in or some such like that? Yeah, it signed me out because I haven't been on in that long. This has never happened since I've started my blog.
I figured that was a pretty good indication that I needed to post an update.
Its been really nice to be home.
I missed my family and friends... and pillow. Man did I miss my pillow.
With technology today, it was really easy to keep in touch with family. I'd be able to call home whenever I wanted. But we all know thats just not the same as being able to be with your family.
I think this was really the perfect time to be home. I get to be with my family for the holidays, and have the added bonus of not interfering with any of my gracious host's family time as well. Its not like I haven't taken enough of their time already, right! I couldn't be on this wonderful adventure without everyone's help.
Other than spending time with my family, I've had some time to hang out with my friends while I'm home as well. I also had the added bonus of being home during Thanksgiving break when all of my friends that are off at Universities were home as well. It was nice to get to see them again and talk about college. (Yeah, that dreaded thing that I've been putting off during this year... Don't worry, I've finally applied to a couple of them.)
So I've got to see everyone, although everyone is busy with school and/or work, so I haven't gotten to see everyone nearly as much as I wish but I'll just have to deal with that.
Speaking of work, since I've been home I've been able to go to work a few days. I'm glad Jay didn't hire a replacement in my absence! Its nice to be able to go and do something and make a little money. It makes me feel more productive.. although anything is more productive than sitting in front of the computer screen watching youtube videos all day long like I probably would if I had no responsibilities.
Anyways, I really like working at Jay's. For one, I've got a great boss! (Is it considered sucking up if I know that he reads this?..) No, really, I do like my job a lot, and I feel appreciated while I'm there so I think its a win-win for everyone. (:
Hmm... What else have I been up to? Well, not a whole lot. I've been trying to cook more. Its actually working out pretty well. I just went grocery shopping the other day and stocked up on necessities. I don't think I've made anything too spectacular yet. You can ask dad, he's my test subject.
I've also been painting. Not the fun kind. The priming the walls and ceiling kind. Which I actually don't mind, but I haven't been too motivated to do a whole lot... shhhh, don't tell dad that. (I have an inkling he's on to me..)
I've also gone into the art room at the high school and thrown a couple of pots. I've missed that a lot, and it was really nice to see Mrs. Wyss again. I'll let you know how those turned out once they're fired and glazed.
So there is an all over the place random update on what I've been up to lately.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I hope to post a few more updates before Christmas, so I won't wish you a merry one just yet! (:
